Dutch Warmblood Preference Breeding Mare

Preference continues to be a favorite mare for breeders and visitors. She is a very
beautiful lady, smooth in her conformation, with active hind leg and good freedom
and expression of movement. Her colt by Don Schufro in 2005 was awarded Premium
status by the German Oldenburg Verband. In three frozen semen breedings in 2005, she
produced four embryos, three of which were born in 2006.

At the September 2003 Oldenburg Verband Inspection, hosted by Yancey Farms, judges Evelin
Vollstedt and Fritz Einhaus judged a total of 45 horses. Of the 21 mares evaluated, 20 were approved
into the Main Mare Book. The high score of 7.7 went to my own KWPN mare, Preference by Weyden
out of Inea by Daimler. She is a superb mare that showed excellent type, suspension and beauty.
This score tied her for high score in the country that year. Dr. Vollstedt also said that this is the high
score in the country for a non-Oldenburg mare.

Two years ago, this same mare was the high scoring Non-Hanoverian mare in the country for the
American Hanoverian Society and tied for top place of all mares in the country. She went on to win
S.E. Regional Champion of the Cosequin/USDF Sporthorse Breeding Championships.
The pedigree of Preference combines the strong Hanoverian dressage and Olympic Champion,
Jonggors Weyden with athletic KWPN blood.

She had a spectacular filly by Samarant, “Sambora” and a darling filly by Briar named “Bon-
Bon.” Both of these fillies were presented to the German Oldenburg Verband and were awarded
Premium status. She had a handsome and fun colt by the Dutch stallion “Sandreo” whose new
owner registered with the KWPN NA. She had Lord Leo by Lord Sinclair in 2007 and Quinelise by
Quaterback in March 2008.

Tirana Breeding Lineage

Tirana is a gorgeous dark brown/black Oldenburg out of Teodora, by French Kiss.

She is very smart and very anxious to please.  As a two-year old I climbed right on her and she was not at all upset! She has incredible movement and a personality to match. We will be breeding her for a 2010 foal.

Olivia Breeding Lineage

Olivia is a beautiful bay Oldenburg by Don Kennedy, out of Ornella by the
magnificent stallion Argentinus.

Olivia is a very elegant mare with a very sound mind and excellent conformation and movement.
She is a very “old soul”, wise beyond her years, very calm and gentle.

Quinoa Breed Lineage

Quinoa is tall, elegant, athletic and has a great ability and willingness to learn. She is very
engaged with the world and doesn’t miss a thing.

Quinoa has a pleasant demeanor and is very willing and loving. She was in the finals of the S. German Foal Championships and is an accurate representative of the quality of movement and type that Quaterback is siring. I feel very fortunate to have the chance to have acquired this outstanding Quaterback filly for our breeding program. Quinoa is quite tall, leggy and moves very elegantly, with suppleness and power. Her
sire is the hottest young stallion in Europe now, and his Grand sire, Quando-Quando, competed at the Beijing Olympics in 2008! She is an absolute joy to work with and we look forward to when she is old enough to breed. We should have a foal from her in 2011.
